Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before placing an order with North 131 Overstock ("we," "us," "our"). By placing an order, browsing our site, or using any of our services, you ("customer," "buyer," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or place an order.

Terms & Conditions -
The Basics

1. Business Identity
North 131 Overstock is a DBA (assumed name) of Sara Hudson, a sole proprietorship operating in the State of Michigan, USA. All references to "North 131 Overstock," "we," "us," or "our" throughout these Terms refer to this business entity.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years of age or older to place an order. By ordering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to cancel any order where we reasonably believe this requirement has not been met.
3. Nature of Our Products — Mystery Boxes
This is the most important section of these Terms. By purchasing any North 131 Overstock product, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Contents are a genuine mystery. We do not disclose, guarantee, or allow selection of specific contents prior to purchase.
No guarantee of value, condition, or resale value. Items are sourced from liquidation inventory — including unclaimed mail, retailer returns, and overstock merchandise — and their market value, condition, and resale potential vary widely and are never guaranteed.
Condition varies. Items may be new, open-box, incomplete, missing parts, or show signs of use or wear, given their origin as returns, unclaimed mail, or overstock. We do not individually inspect, test, or certify the condition of every item prior to packing.
No cherry-picking or customization. Boxes are packed as sourced. We do not accept requests to include, exclude, or substitute specific items or categories.
Items are packed as received, in their original packaging, with the exception of items sold under our Prop Mail Box product line, which consist of items received without original packaging and are individually rewrapped by us prior to shipment.
Assumption of risk. By purchasing, you knowingly and voluntarily assume the risk that the contents of your order may not meet your expectations in value, condition, or usefulness.
Not intended as a guaranteed source of resale income. While some buyers do resell items received, we make no representation, warranty, or guarantee regarding potential resale value or profit. Any resale of contents is undertaken at the buyer's own risk and discretion.

4. Sourcing and Supplier Disclosure
Our inventory is sourced from a rotating mix of liquidation suppliers, and may include unclaimed mail, retailer returns, closeout merchandise, and overstock, depending on availability and value at the time of sourcing. We do not commit to a fixed supplier or category, and the composition of any given batch may vary without notice.
5. Product Recalls and Safety
Items sold through North 131 Overstock are sourced through third-party liquidation channels and are not individually screened against manufacturer recall databases. It is the buyer's responsibility to check any received product against publicly available recall information (such as the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission database at cpsc.gov) before use, particularly for electronics, children's items, or consumables. We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of a recalled or defective item received in a mystery box.
6. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice for future orders. Prices in effect at the time your order is placed and paid for will not change for that order.
Full payment is required at the time of order, including preorders. Placing a preorder is a confirmed purchase, not a reservation to pay later.
Applicable sales tax is calculated and charged at checkout based on your shipping destination and our current tax collection obligations (see Section 11).

7. Order Fulfillment, Preorders, and Inventory

Orders are fulfilled on an ongoing basis as inventory allows. Stated inventory quantities reflect our current batch and may sell out.
Once a product's listed quantity is exhausted, it may remain available for preorder. Preorder items are fulfilled once new inventory is sourced and packed, which may take longer than our standard shipping estimate. We do not guarantee a specific restock date.
Most orders ship within approximately 7 business days of purchase; preorders may take longer. These are estimates, not guarantees.

8. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship within the continental United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or internationally at this time.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of your order and your delivery address, unless your order qualifies for a free shipping promotion as stated at checkout.
Orders are shipped via USPS and/or UPS at our discretion, based on size, weight, and cost efficiency.
Risk of loss and title for items purchased pass to you upon our delivery of the package to the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for packages lost, stolen, or damaged after this point, though we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in filing a claim with the carrier where applicable.
Delivery time estimates provided by shipping carriers are not guaranteed by us and are outside of our control.

9. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

All sales are final. Due to the mystery nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges, and we do not issue refunds based on dissatisfaction with the type, value, or condition of items received.
Order cancellation requests made before an order has been packed or shipped may be accommodated at our discretion and may be subject to a 5% transaction fee to cover non-recoverable payment processing costs.
Once an order has been packed or shipped, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.
In the rare event that we are unable to fulfill an order due to sourcing issues, we will issue a full refund for that order.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, North 131 Overstock and Sara Hudson shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your purchase or use of our products, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of resale value, or personal injury arising from product use, defect, or recall status. Our total liability for any claim arising from your order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific order.
11. Sales Tax
We collect Michigan sales tax (currently 6%) on all orders, as required by Michigan law. We do not currently collect sales tax for other states, as we do not presently meet economic nexus thresholds in those states. This may change as our business grows, and this section will be updated accordingly.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:

Use our site or services for any unlawful purpose;
Submit fraudulent payment information or attempt to reverse a legitimately completed charge in bad faith (chargeback abuse);
Misrepresent your age or identity;
Attempt to resell our products while falsely claiming affiliation with, endorsement by, or partnership with North 131 Overstock, unless such a relationship has been separately and explicitly agreed to in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or ban any customer engaging in the above conduct.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including but not limited to our name, logo, product names, branding, photographs, and written content — is the property of North 131 Overstock / Sara Hudson and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our express written permission.
14. Affiliate, Partnership, and Collaboration Terms
Any affiliate relationship, sponsorship, discount code, or content collaboration with North 131 Overstock is governed by a separate written agreement between the parties, and is not established by these Terms alone. Interested parties should contact us directly (see Section 18).
15. Privacy
Information you provide to us (including name, shipping address, email, and payment information) is used solely to process and fulfill your order and to communicate with you about it. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Full details are available in our separate Privacy Policy.
16. Electronic Communications
By placing an order, you consent to receive electronic communications from us regarding your order (confirmations, shipping updates, etc.). You agree that these electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing.
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, carrier delays, supplier shortages, or other events of force majeure.
18. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your purchase shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
