What is North 131
North 131 kind of fell into my lap after going down a rabbit hole on TikTok. I was already starting to post content of my unboxing videos of mystery boxes I purchased from GRP liquidations, and suddenly I started to see a boost in my fyp of fellow unboxers, and brands selling their own mystery boxes.
This community of unboxers is just amazing! I wanted to start branding my own mystery boxes and offer a new brand for the community to enjoy. The process has been a learning curve, but I am so happy to share this with everyone. I really hope to grow with you all as time goes on and launch North 131 into success.
North 131 is just another fun mystery box company for everyone. While I still plan on reselling liquidation pallets, I wanted to open up this e-commerce website and start the brand. I enjoy unboxing mystery boxes myself and making content on TikTok, so I am hoping everything comes full circle.
When Is the Launch & North 131 Weekly Restock Schedule?
A few people have asked how the North 131 restock schedule works, when to actually check the site, and whether "preorder" mean something's out of stock forever. Short answer: no. Here's the real rhythm, laid out plainly:
Saturdays - Restock Day
Every Saturday, a new batch goes live. This is when fresh delivery of real liquidation inventory (unclaimed mail, returns, overstock, whatever came through that week) is made available to order.
If you were on preorder from the previous week, this is also the day your order moves into the queue to actually get packed and shipped.
Sunday Through Thursday: Orders Get Packed and Shipped
Throughout the week, orders come in and get processed: packed, labeled, and shipped out. Some of that happens live on TikTok, so you might catch your own box (comment with your order #), or someone else's box being packed in real time. Not every single order is filmed live, but a good chunk of them are - it's genuinely part of how this whole thing runs, not just a marketing bit.
What Happens When a Batch Sells Out
Since each batch is limited to whatever each week's bins contain, it's possible to sell out before Saturday rolls back around. When that happens, the listing doesn't disappear - it swithes to preorder. You can still order, you're just getting placed into the next Saturday's batch instead of the current one.
This isn't a stalling tactic or a "join the waitlist and hope" situation. It's a straightforward reflection of the fact that inventory is genuinely limited to what's actually been sourced that week. No fake countdowns, no manufactured urgency. If it says sold out, it's actually sold out, and it it says preorder, that's a real, honest queue for next week's batch.
Why the Restock Schedule is Built This Way
This whole rhythm exists for a simple reason: the inventory is real, and it's finite. There's no warehouse or pre-made boxes sitting in reserve - every box comes from an actual bin, sorted by hand, batch by batch. Running it week to week, honestly, means never promising more than what's actaully there. I also have a family, work, and am in college.
It also means the content side and the business side run on the same clock. The live packing sessions aren't a separate performance layered on top of the "real" business. They're the actual fulfillment happening in real time, which is part of what makes this feel like a real, ongoing thing instead of a static online store.
What This Means for you
If you want the best shot at getting a box from the current batch rather than waiting for enct week, Saturday is the day to check. If you order later in the week and the current batch is already gone, preorder just means your box gers packed the following Saturday instead - same box, same process, just queued a week out.
Either way, nothing about placing an order is riskier as a preorder than as an in-stock purchase. It's the same product, same handling, same care, just a different week.
That's the whole cycle. Saturday to Saturday: BUY. UNBOX. REPEAT.
